have you ever had moments when, like a flash of brilliant light, you think of a lyric… to a song… from what seems to have been ages and ages ago… and it strikes you, it reminds you… that you forgot… just how much… you absolutely loved the song that you had forgotten all about?…
it’s kind of like people that you used to know… only, at least with songs all you have to do is hit “play” and as the chords echo in your ears, and the lyrics swim through your mind it’s as though time has ceased to exit… if only for a short moment in time…
i guess people can be that way too… you see a smile, or hear a voice… have a conversation and “catch up”… and it’s like no time has passed… there’s something rather reassuring and bittersweet about that.
